Ventura College’s Workplaces Essentials Program offers free noncredit courses to provide students with technology and workplace skills to prepare for new careers, advance in their jobs, and provide value to employers. Take courses and earn micro-credentials/digital badges to get work ready for any business or prepare for a specific pathway like advanced manufacturing. Invest in your professional development and learn new skills today through the Workforce Essentials Program.
Digital Badges are micro-credentials that you and/or your employees can earn at Ventura College’s Workplace Essentials Program. The difference between a digital badge and a degree or program certificate is that badges represent a smaller set of skills, such as learning the basics of electricity or how to operate a gantry crane.
There is no cost for the classes.
You! Whether you are just starting out, or have been in the workplace for years, in today’s marketplace, it is essential to keep up with the changes in technology and to continue your professional development.
Many Work Place Essentials courses are fully online, and some courses are hybrid that require you to come in person for hands-on lab practice and skill tests.
Ventura College has computers available in the Library/Learning Resource Center and in the ASC Learning Lab (ASC 120) for your use.
